Books
The Shadow Revolution by Clay & Susan Griffith - A fun fantasy trilogy set in Victorian England. Cute characters, light-hearted, with a good plot and lots of intrigue. Predictable at times but quite fun.
The Undying Legion by Clay & Susan Griffith
The Conquering Dark by Clay & Susan Griffith
The Danish Girl by David Ebershoff - I've been intrigued by this story for a long time. It was absorbing, haunting, and touching to follow the stories of not just Lili but her wife Greta. A fascinating view at what it must have been to be trans in a period where homosexual prejudice was so rampant.
Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs (reread) - and, as usual, when my life starts to get too hectic, I retreat into familiar favorites.
A Red-Rose Chain by Seanan McGuire (reread) - in anticipation of the next book...
Movies
The Secret Life of Pets (2016) - cute and mostly funny for pet owners who can recognize the very strange things cats and dogs sometimes do.
Star Trek Beyond (2016) - I could certainly feel both the director and Simon Pegg's influences throughout the film. Fun to watch but nothing amazing.
