It's that time again, time for books and movies because dealing with my life has been damn difficult for the last few months. So... books.
Books
The Gods of Olympus: A History by Barbara Graziosi - an interesting history of how the Olympian deities have evolved over the centuries and endured into the present day I would have wanted some more in-depth analysis, however, particularly of more modern eras.
Indexing by Seanan McGuire - as usual, Seanan McGuire doesn't disappoint. Despite the fairy-tale silliness, this book is fun and playful and surprisingly captivating. I should expect nothing less with this author.
Things Might Go Terribly, Horribly Wrong by Wilson & Dufrene - an attempt at sorting through some of my anxiety issues. I didn't find it terribly helpful.
Range of Ghosts by Elizabeth Bear - this took a while to get into but turned into a good, fairly mainstream fantasy. I was disappointed that the story doesn't end in this book - now I have to track down the next volume.
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa - silly teen book, not good enough to move on to the next volume.
We Were There, vol. 1 by Yuki Obata - continuing the tradition of picking up random manga at the library. Okay but not particularly gripping.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - excellent teen series, quite captivating if a little fluffy. Loved it.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas - book 2
Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire (reread)
Movies
