The old stuff used to scare me as a kid when my brother would watch the show. The new stuff is really fun if you're into Wacky British SciFi [which, I think you are ;) ]. Torchwood is a spinoff of the new Doctor Who. Imagine if The X-Files took place in Wales, and gloss it up a bit.
